Band 5 Cardiac Physiologist: We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic Cardiac Physiologist, either recently or newly qualified. To perform a range of Cardiological investigations on patients referred to the department, alongside a preceptorship training programme to actively encourage and develop skills.



  • To undertake all routine procedures within the Cardiology Department (to include ECG, Event recorder and 24hr ECG Holter Monitoring and 24hr Blood Pressure monitoring – Hook-up and analysis).

  • Undertake advanced procedures within the Cardiology Department (to include Exercise ECG procedures, Echocardiography, myoviews, basic pacemaker implantation and follow-up, cardiac angiography).

  • Assist with more specialist procedures..

  • To develop and maintain knowledge and clinical skills.

  • To undertake audit and research activities.

  • To assist in other procedures performed within the CMU and local health economy.

  • To complete preceptorship programme with the aim to undertake procedures in a solo capacity
