Main Purpose of Job:

To co-ordinate all aspects of the London City Airport parking system, including staff parking, pre-booked and roll-up arrivals.


Conduct a manual car park count as agreed weekly (or as regular as needed)

Input all registration forms for the ANPR car park system and coordinate each month with accounts to ensure that correct billing to external companies is completed. Conduct an annual Audit with accounts to ensure all passes have been processed and are in date. Maintaining a log of staff who are exempt from using the Green Car Park and adapting the data to allow them entry.

To work with the car hire ensuring tickets are being paid and the correct car parking spaces are being used

Investigate any staff related problems thoroughly and correspond with staff as to actions that will be taken arising from any issues. Ensure correct car parks are used, issue fines (if applicable) in accordance with the LCY terms and conditions, and consult with external HR and internal HR where applicable.

The general servicing of the payment stations and banking procedures once the payment stations are filled and emptied. Compile stringent recording procedures.

Responding to first line maintenance issues with car park equipment and escalate any problems we cannot solve to IT, Ski data or FM where relevant as per our service contract. Relevant logs of information are to be maintained and up to date.

Record and collate forms for accounts for the ad hoc visitor’s charges. Review and communicate procedures to new starters. Review annually, lists of who is exempt from charge.

Respond to all passenger queries via email or phone. This could include pre-bookings, refunds etc.

Compile weekly and monthly reports for the Non-aero Director.

Order all spare and consumables for the car park, keeping within specified expenditure budgets.

Patrolling the airport site/car parks and report any maintenance issues to FM- i.e., lighting and surface. Consult with Airport Duty Manager for any disruption to business and communicate both externally and internally

Producing exit tickets for agreed Bank holidays and control billing if extra tickets are required due to an increase in demand.

To maintain and provide good records of all aspects of the car park operation and when third parties have provided maintenance.

To assist with various ad hoc duties in CSC as reasonably required from time to time.

Ensure health and safety legislative requirements are met and that all safety incidents are reported on the Centrik Safety Reporting system and Managers are made aware.

To undertake any training required as relevant to job role

Key Competencies:

Once trained, the job will require the successful applicant to work unsupervised and act on his or her own initiative to solve problems. You will report to the Customer Services Team Leader/Airport Duty Manager.

The position will require outside work in all weathers.

Pay due care and attention to security procedures both on and off site to ensure the safety of yourself and others.

Ensure security legislative requirements are complied with (such as instructed during initial and annual refresher General Security Awareness Training, GSAT).

Ensure any breach of security procedures are reported through the Security Centrik reporting scheme and to the relevant managers.

Health and Safety Responsibilities:

Ensure health and safety legislative requirements are met such as DSE assessment and health and safety awareness meeting all corporate HSE targets

Pay due care and attention to health and safety procedures and recommendations both on and off site to ensure the safety of yourself and others

Ensure any hazards or unsafe acts are reported through the Accident and Safety reporting scheme and to the relevant Managers


Education & Training

In possession of at least three GCSE’s / O Level or Leaving Cert (and equivalent).

Able to obtain an Airside Pass, & Security Background Check.

Previous experience working in an aviation environment is desirable.

Ability to speak additional languages is desired.

Hours of Work:

This is a part time role. 20 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern.

Operational hours to be covered:

Monday - Friday 05:30 – 22:00Saturday 05:30 – 12:30Sunday 10:30 – 20:30

Flexibility in hours worked is required.
